Curriculum
Seven full-scale productions are mounted each season. Productions last 6 to 12 weeks depending on the complexity of the work being produced and the age group of the cast. Cast members rehearse an average of two hours, three times a week. During the course of each production, participants are taught performance skills including acting, singing, and dance; and fine arts through set building and the technical aspects of theatre-craft.
Participants are selected after a thorough audition that examines their interest, and attitude as well as their aptitude in the Music/Theatre Arts. A child does not need to have any previous experience in order to audition for the program. Roles are assigned according to each participant’s ability.
